Calm, relaxed, but fun and epic.

These are the words we think of when we reminisce on this amazing wedding day. When you have a couple as calm as Chantelle and Matt were, mixed with a fun, happy, bridal party. You know it’s going to be a truly special day. Which is exactly what it was.

What’s also insane!? Matt has the exact same name as our Matt, both Matthew Donaldson’s. Like what the!? It was fate, we were meant to be there capturing these two lovers.

The day started with Chantelle spending the morning with her bridal party and parents at the gorgeous Songbirds Mount Tamborine Retreat, real cabin in the woods vibe (without the horror) surrounded by luscious tropical plants. Matt got ready with the lads at an airbnb right in Tamborine Mountain. There were beers, laughter and of coarse, a struggle with putting the ties on!

These lovers said I do at the beautiful Shambala Estate, easily one of our favourite venues in the Gold Coast Hinterland. If you’re thinking about getting hitched there, DO IT! I’m sure Chantelle & Matt would both agree. Shambala Estate’s chapel and reception area are… I can’t even find the words, stunning, but let me tell you stunning doesn’t even quite cut it. The Galaxy Ballroom bolsters a magical ceiling of fibre optic starlight panels, strings of fairy lights dangling elegantly down behind the bridal party, creating an epic backdrop. Crystal chandeliers, stunning staircases and the list goes on!
